I can't seem to put together the history to try to determine what happened last night right before 9:30 on the Southwest flight from Chicago that caused the plane to be diverted to Buffalo. Any thoughts?
I suspect it was some moderate with one sharp drop. Passengers were likely belted in, flight attendants walking, and they just hit a nasty bump. The diversion was the injury of the flight attendants. The fact that there wasn't any passenger injuries might indeed be because they were securely seated. In other words, just a big jolt and bad timing.
